Archaeology Day at Killens Pond State Park

Join Delaware State Parks for a day of archaeological discovery! Pre-registration is suggested, 302-284-4299

11am: Hands-on-Pottery — Experience how first nations peoples created clay vessels for cooking and storing foods. Practice making clay pots two different ways and take them home with you. Recommended for ages 5 and over, families welcome.

12:30pm: Pre-Historic Archaeology Walk and Talk —  Join Dan Griffith for a walk and talk about archaeology.

2:30pm: Boathouse Excavation Talk — Want to know what’s been going on with all that digging at the boat house? Join the archaeologists working on this!
